900,000 Android Activations Per Day
Not so long ago we learned Google activates around 500,000 Android devices per day. Afterwards this number increased and reached 550,000 devices/day. But this platform had more potential than expected, and with the growth of its popularity, Google started activating more and more devices per day. The last indicator we talked about was 700,000 devices/day, but actually the software giant was activating 850,000 Android-powered handsets per day starting from April. Now this number has grown and neared one million.
Andy Rubin, Google’s head of mobile, announced through Twitter the company is currently activating 900,000 devices per day. Looking at the tendency Google enlarges its production we can be sure it’s on the verge of reaching the million.

Moreover, Andy Rubin also answered the question whether he has any plans to leave Google. In particular, he said those rumors didn’t correspond to the reality and he would continue working at Google.
On the whole, this news is not surprising because Google has entered a new phase, and besides launching its own smartphones and tablet, the company has also acquired Motorola and is working on Jelly Bean, which will be on more handsets than Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. So wait for more gladsome news from the company in the near future.
