How to save battery life

What are you doing when your phone drainage your battery life? I can access any answer but the one that you plug it for charging, haha. Well, let’s talk more serious because this is a problem nowadays, and each smartphone users find a special way to solve it. Here are a few instructions how you can save your phone’s battery life.

This time we decided to take into consideration the fact “larger screen, more battery drainage.” Don’t you guess why this claim is true? Because current smartphones are able to do many things and do not think we have not got our fault in this deal. Wise versa, we required more and we got more, but now we are standing against a real problem—how save batteries’ life? Well, do not ferment, here we go.

As the biggest usage of the battery comes from the screen backlight, we recommend you to check the settings of auto-brightness. Remember, it’s often better to use manual settings, so a quick look at the settings showing how long it stays lit after you’ve used your phone may talk about many things.

You should go to Menu>Settings then scroll down to Display option. Here we have to settings– Brightness and Screen timeout. For the first setting uncheck Automatic brightness and adjust the slider down until your phone’s display is still readable. This is very useful, as your phone’s display wouldn’t waste much battery power. Of course, you always can return and change this setting whenever you need.

After you can check the Screen timeout setting which shows how long it takes the screen to power down when it’s not being used. Even dropping the duration down in a minute can make a big difference. Imagine how much will be the difference for the phones with a 4.3-inch screen.

This is two simple methods, moreover, you can search for appropriate widgets to control this setting or you can drop a shortcut to the Display options on your homescreen for easy access. That’s all!

GNB Netbook to run Google Android OS!

A big wave of netbooks running Google Android OS are going to make their debut at the end of this year (or early next year). The company, GNB will be joining the market of netbooks running Google Android OS.

Our netbook site, Gadgetmix.com, reports that keyboard as-well-as touchpad, both are pathetic to use on this netbook. Reason? It is too small for touch-typing and too big for thumb typing. Battery life is also nothing to talk home about: just 2 hours. It uses 533MHz Freescale ARM processor and comes with a 7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen

I would instead get a T-Mobile G1 with extended battery!

Motorola to enter the Android Market?

Today, we have another rumor about an Android device hitting the market, some time later this year. This time, the tip-off comes from none other than Motorola.

The mobile phone giant has given indications that it plans to become “friends” with Android this year. And, it seems, the device will be launched in 4th quarter of this year.

Now, would you like to know the possible specs ? The specs are almost the same as the other Android devices in the market, and the ones “rumored” to be released. But there are two specs, which will be a surprise for you. First, the usual specs : an all touchscreen device, 3.5mm jack,  GPS, long battery life (I don’t know if this should go under the unusual specs, as every company claims to provide this). And, now the unusual specs : a 3.7″ screen(there is no information about the resolution) and a 8MP camera. There is no news regarding if the device will have a flash.

The specs of this device seems to be quite impressive. And, Motorola would be able to conquer quite a large portion of the Android market, if it is really able to provide the above mentioned features.
