If you are a regular at xda-developers, you would be knowing that some time back in April, a senior member had posted “I work for a wireless developer firm and I have just received word from the US carrier (cannot disclose who yet) that the release date for the HTC Hero (Android) is October 11th 2009.” Now, that was amazing. There are not one, but two devices awaiting an Octber 11th release. But, what is Samsung Q ? Is it some mysterious device or is it, the much heard-of, Samsung i7500 ? Android users in the UK, who have been eagerly waiting to lay their hands on HTC Hero, can now gear up to get their desired device. T-Mobile UK is offering T-Mobile G2 Touch, aka HTC Hero, to their online customers. According to reports, the device would also be available at their retail stores, in a couple of days. According to a report by tmotoday, HTC is working on a 3G device which would sport TouchFlo 3D, and HTC Sense and will be launched in the month of September or October. Now, why do I say that these specs can be that of G1 v2 ? Because, the G1 v2 is supposed to release in the same time as this HTC’s “high-profile” device. Also, inclusion of HTC Sense in the specs brings out the speculation that it could possibly be an Android device.

All the Android devices currently in the market (HTC Dream, Magic and Hero) are all mid-range devices. But, a high-profile device, I suppose, will not be a mid-range one. So, may be its time to gear-up for a feature-packed Android device, and be ready to shell out a fortune!!

Bulgarian mobile communications company, Globul has officially announced its decision to offer HTC Magic in Bulgaria. As per the announcement, the device will be offered at a starting price of BGN 599, and would change according to the data plans the user chooses. The company also reported that it also plans to offer HTC Hero some time later.

Vobis Computer is reportedly planning to launch Android powered, HIGHSCREEN PP5420 in Russia starting next week. According to reports, it will retail at about approximately $510.

The device sports a 3″ WQVGA screen, Qualcomm MSM7201 processor, a 3MP camera with auto focus, a front-facing camera for video calling, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, WiFi, GPS and UMTS/HSDPA.

Google Android is getting really popular with cell-phone manufacturers around the world. The main reason is the availability of the open-source OS for free. Seems like, by the end of this year, atleast half a dozen companies will have their Android devices flocking the market. AT&T is probably, planning to launch an Android device, the Motorola Heron aka the Iron Man.

The device is expected to come with a 2.8-inch screen, a 3MP camera with flash, aGPS and 3G. The release date is speculated to be 2nd of November, this year. But, this may change as this date was announced when this phone was supposed to be a Windows Mobile device. But, since the Operating System has been revised, some features as well as the release date might also change.

The pictures of the most awaited device of 2009, the HTC Hero G3, have been leaked. As per sources, the HTC Hero G3 will be like a combination of HTC Dream and the HTC Magic. Here’s a sneak peak at the device :

The HTC Hero G3 is believed to have a large display (not pretty sure of the exact size of the display), 3.5mm audio jack and a camera. But, there is no hardware keyboard and neither a track ball. This device is expected to be released in Q3, 2009.
