Android to explore Asia : Far Eastone to offer Android devices in Taipei

As per a report by Taipei Times, Far Eastone, the  nation’s third biggest telecom operator is planning to launch not one, but two or three Android devices by the year end. “We are in talks with more than five potential partners, in Taiwan and abroad, to sell Android phones,” Roger Chen, a vice president at Far EasTone, said at a press conference.

This could prove to be a very big boost for Google as Telecom industry is one of the biggest and one of the fastest growing industries in Asia. Also, as Android is an open-source Operating System, it reduces the prices of the devices. So, this could be a really big advantage for Android in the Asian market.

Android to shake hands with Adobe ?

We all have been using Flash in our PCs since a very long time. Now, how about using the same Flash in your mobile phone ? It is possible now, provided you own a Android powered phone or Palm pre or Nokia smartphone.

Adobe is working on reengineering its softwares, so that the Flash games and videos can run on the smartphones without being modified. “Smart phones are where the game is now,” Kevin Lynch, Adobe’s chief technology officer said, “Our chips are on the table. We’ve made our bets.”

Trial version of the software will be available for Android, Nokia and Palm by the year end. But, why has Adobe not considered to release the software for Windows Mobile smartphones and Apple iPhone ?
