We are always attentive to Android, because no one can disagree it goes forward walking tall. Of course, you are aware Google’s mobile operating system has conquered the half of the world, there are U.S. states completely “obsessed” by it, 30 percent of the tablet market belongs to Android, it is developers’ favorite platform and it is the second popular platform in the UK.

Have you ever thought which carrier dominates in the Android market (I’m not speaking about the Marketplace :))? The fact is that Verizon dominates in this area, but other carriers try not to stay behind.

According to latest study by Chitika, an online advertising network, Verizon’s Android smartphone share in the U.S. has decreased from 51.418 percent (March) to 41.05 percent. Though Big Red is the leader, a 10 percent loss is a serious thing, because every day Google activates more than 550.000 Android handsets.

As you see in the graphic Sprint is on the second position with 25.74 percent share, and AT&T dashed reaching 8.47 percent from 3.583 percent. It was done especially due to the HTC Inspire which is one of the most affordable handsets on AT&T’s stores.

So we can summarize Verizon remains the best partner for Google, and it is not accidental as Verizon’s stores are full of Android-based handsets.
